The AKC’s 10 Most Popular Dogs

There are numerous Kennel Clubs around the world that set standards for dog breeds as well as keep statistics on the different dog breeds in their region. The American kennel club is the major kennel club in the united states of America and among other information and statistics they every year they issue a list of the most popular breeds of dogs in America. In the list announced by the American Kennel Club in 2010 there were some changes but one constant was the Labrador Retriever.

This adorable dog breed has ruled the list of AKC for the past 20 years and no other dog breed has been able to unseat it from its top dog position on the American Kennel Club List of most popular dog breeds.

Other popular dog breeds that have climbed the ranking ladder are Beagle Dog Breed which overtook the golden retriever to gain the No 4 spot on the Top 10 list. Another upset in this list of popular dog breeds by the american kennell club was the Bulldog rising to the No 6 spot and overtaking the Boxer another popular dog breed in America.
