Colors: Solid white, white with orange markings or orange roan with or without orange markings. Additional colors include white with brown markings or brown roan with or without brown markings.

SPINONE ITALIANO DOG BREED INFORMATION:
The Spinone Italiano is an Italian dog breed which was originally bred as a versatile gun dog and till this day it maintains the same reputation. It is a devoted, affectionate and cautious dog with a wiry dog and history dating back to 500 BC. They are originally used for hunting, pointing and retrieving games but owing to their intelligence and strength they may be anything ranging from a companion to an assistance dog.

They are a square strong solidly built dog with muscles body and limbs that are suitable to any terrain and weather. He has expressive eyes which show him to be an intelligent and understanding dog and is often described as having “human-like” eyes. They retain puppy-like, webbed paws throughout their lifetime which make them powerful swimmers.

They have a tough, wiry and close fitted coat which is 1.5 to 2.5 inches on the body with the ears, muzzle, head, parts of leg and feet having shorter hair. They come in a variety of colors which include solid white, white with orange markings, orange roan with or without orange markings etc.

It is loving and affectionate breed and gets along with both people and dogs. It gets along very well with children owing to its patient nature. However, the children must be taught not to take advantage of this characteristic. It is devoted to people and knows and even friendly to unknowns and yet is not suitable to be a guard dog. It loves running and jogging and can even manage to stay happy in small yard.
    
SPINONE ITALIANO BREED HEALTH AND DISEASES:
This dog breed has a life expectancy of about 12 years or more and is known to suffer from Cerebellar ataxia and hip dysplasia. It is otherwise a healthy dog breed.
