WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF SMALL DOGS?
All the dogs that stand up to eleven inches and are of eleven pounds are said to be small dogs. DO THEY REQUIRE GROOMING?
All the small breeds are supposed to be groomed on a daily basis. Especially the long hair pups are to be brushed twice a day so that they keep healthy and away from all the lice. The Bichon Frise and Toy Poodle do not molt, so must be groomed daily to maintain good coat condition. Areas to pay particular attention to are the hair around the eyes, ears, mouth and tail. The small breeds need to be given more attention than the big ones as they have a weaker immunity system than the big breeds

HOW LONG DO THEY LIVE FOR?
Small breeds in comparison live for a longer period of time than the big ones. They at least live for ten to twelve years and this is quite common. A small breed only dies early if the dog has not been given good attention by the breeder.

WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO THEY HAVE?
Mostly all the dogs in the small dogs are very sharp and intelligent in comparison to the large breeds. But the idea is that they are bubbly and energetic. But what one should make sure is the dog he is purchasing should be relative and suitable to his circumstances.

ARE THEY DIFFICULT TO HANDLE?
At initial stages yes they are very difficult to handle. But then after eight weeks they become very much easy to handle than the other big breeds.

DO THEY REQUIRE FREQUENT FEEDING?
Most of the dogs do require frequent feeding but in the case of small dog it is entirely different. They need to be fed less but their food should be of the highest quality. They at the maximum would eat for like twice a week but what matters is quality.

DO THEY FEEL COLDER?
It is not a question of small or big breeds but the idea is that it depends on how much thicker is their coat? If a pup has a thicker coat he would feel less cold than a pup that has lesser coat. It has an indirect relation with the coat.

DO SMALL DOGS GEL WITH A LARGER BREED?
It all depends but then again it would be better if you do not take a chance with a big dog. Normally big dogs get irritated of the smaller breeds pretty soon.
