Dogs need different diets at different ages

Dogs want different diets at different stages of their life. For example, the puppy would need milk while an adult dog requires beef or chicken along with boiled egg and milk. Thus, we can say that the diet varies for dogs depending upon the age.

The puppies not only need larger quantities of protein, fats and carbohydrates than an adult dog but also needs to be fed more frequently as compared to an adult dog. Since the puppies are more energetic than the adult dogs, they require movement based diet.

Elder dogs require restricted protein which should be easy to digest and easy to assimilate in the body because too much protein can become burdensome to their renal structures and ultimately the dog’s filters in the kidney may be damaged. This is quite right due to the fact that their immune system in weak as compare to other dogs. There should be a sufficient water supply for them in their diet schedule. Remember to feed adult dog less food because their movements are restricted.

Female pregnant dogs should never be fed fully because that would cause discomforts to the animal. Nonetheless, pregnant animals and nursing animals need special food items that would give them a balance type of nutrition with proper vitamins and minerals supplements.  Moreover sufficient quantity of calcium must be give to the nursing animals so that there will not be any calcium based deficiency and the bones of the puppies would be strong.
